Volunteer at OASIS/FRC for Your Community Connection- We Love Our Volunteers!

OASIS/FRC welcomes anyone interested in helping their community, to join our team! We hold our volunteers at a high standard for their efforts, kindness, and time. Our non-profit has a focus of assisting victims of domestic violence and/or sexual assault; as well as parent education to prevent child abuse. Strong communities raise strong individuals and we at OASIS/FRC do our best to empower others.

If you are interested in volunteering check out the skills you will need:

►Responsibility- Showing up counts to our clients and staff. We would like to be able to depend on you if you say you will be there!

►Non-Discrimination- OASIS/FRC does not discriminate on basis of race, color, national origin, beliefs, religion, sex, disability, sexual orientation or age.

►Communication- We want our volunteers to feel good about giving back; feel free to ask questions! We have answers.

►Boundaries- Knowing your limits, trauma can be many things, hearing it from several clients may way on you. Make sure to keep up on self care and decompressing after putting in hours on overwhelming days!

►Empathy- Try to understand the clients in a respectful way, no pity! Most often the most comforting thing for a client is to be heard and then to see someone understand them.

►Willingness to Help Others- We help several people and families daily, we are looking for volunteers who like working with others!

We love our volunteers!
